Unas palabras del SCORP Director
Dearest SCORPions,
Welcome to the SCORP Sessions at August Meeting 2026. We are genuinely excited to finally meet you in Kazakhstan, in a space where ideas, emotions, and action come together. And for those joining us online, you are just as much part of this room; your presence bridges distances and makes this gathering truly global.
We come together at a time when the world feels heavy with overlapping crises. Conflicts continue to displace millions, inequalities deepen, civic spaces shrink, and violence too often becomes normalized. In such a reality, human rights and peace are not abstract ideals; they are urgent responsibilities that we carry into every conversation, every decision, and every act of solidarity. SCORP stands here not to observe from a distance, but to question, to challenge, and to resist silence. These sessions are built to move beyond comfort. We will engage with complex realities, confront difficult truths, and reflect on how dignity is protected in some places and denied in others. At times, this may feel uncomfortable, but meaningful understanding rarely comes from comfort alone.
Throughout these days, we invite you to think critically, speak openly, and bring your lived experiences into the space. Every perspective matters here. Every voice adds weight to the conversations we are building together. Change does not grow in silence; it grows in dialogue, in courage, and in collective presence.
And as we gather, we are reminded of something simple but powerful: now the most beautiful poem is the peace.
Whether you are here with us in Kazakhstan or joining from afar, this is your space. We are truly happy to share it with you, to learn with you, and to grow alongside you.
With warmth, solidarity, and great anticipation, Your AM26 SCORP SP/ST Team
